Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitary environment within our facilities.
Position Highlights:
This position is part of a union and offers various benefits. The role requires commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain knowledge of and comply with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
2. Participate in initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
3. Perform daily cleaning of occupied rooms to ensure a sanitary environment for patients.
4. Prepare discharge units and surgical areas, ensuring thorough end-of-day cleaning.
5. Keep public and office areas clean and well-maintained, including flooring and waste disposal.
6. Respond promptly to spills and breakages to mitigate safety hazards.
7. Complete special assignments as directed by supervisors, adhering to quality standards.
8. Understand and uphold security protocols for medications and IV solutions.
9. Restock supplies and maintain linen distribution to support patient care.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum age of 16 years.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar capacity is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of safety and sanitation practices.
