About the Role:

The Computed Tomography Technologist is a vital member of our diagnostic imaging team at ThedaCare. This role requires a skilled professional to perform diagnostic CT scans, including interventional radiology procedures, on patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety practices and be able to evaluate image quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, empathetic, and compassionate care to patients, families, and significant others.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment and safety practices in the CT department, interventional radiology, emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient services.
  • Exhibit competency and skills needed to perform CT scans, including interventional radiology and cardiology procedures per protocol.
  • Complete department tasks, such as stocking supplies, checking outdated supplies, performing safety audits, and cleaning rooms and equipment.
  • Provide practical instruction for students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Show competency in intravenous access and administration of contrast in accordance with established protocols.
  • Complete documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy/procedure.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Wisconsin license.

Work Environment:

The Computed Tomography Technologist will work in a climate-controlled office environment with frequent sitting and movement throughout the office space. The role requires occasional exposure to sharp objects and instruments, as well as possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.
