Join Our Team as a Developmental Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Developmental Therapist to join our team at the Developmental Services Center. As a Developmental Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing developmental therapy to young children with disabilities or delays in the areas of cognitive, adaptive, and self-care development.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) process to develop and implement personalized plans for each child.
  • Provide home-based developmental intervention to support children and their families in their natural environments.
  • Collaborate with other therapists and professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Assist with play groups, parent education programs, and other Family Development Center functions as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Child Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • State of Illinois Early Intervention credential or willingness to complete credential.
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers within a developmental, family-centered perspective.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services.
  • Reliable transportation with adequate insurance.
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish speaker preferred.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination required.
