We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rheumatology Division Director to lead our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and strategic direction for the Division of Rheumatology.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Leadership: Oversee inpatient and outpatient services at Jacobi and North Central Bronx Hospitals, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Mentor and Supervise: Mentor and supervise a team of dedicated attending rheumatologists, fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Foster a Collaborative Environment: Foster a collaborative and academically enriching environment, promoting research and scholarly activities.
- Represent the Division: Represent the Division on hospital committees and liaise with the Department of Medicine and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
- Develop and Implement Clinical Programs: Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Teaching and Education: Participate in teaching rounds, lectures, and other educational activities.
- Resident and Fellow Rotations: Oversee resident and fellow rotations, ensuring a comprehensive and rigorous training experience.
- Collaborate with Fellowship Program: Collaborate with the Montefiore Medical Center Rheumatology Fellowship Program to integrate fellows into the clinical and academic environment.
- Secure Funding: Secure external funding for research and educational initiatives.
- Active Clinical Practice: Maintain an active clinical practice with a focus on complex rheumatic diseases.
- Board Certification: Board-certified and fellowship-trained in Rheumatology with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic medical center setting.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to Teaching: Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring future generations of rheumatologists.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- Research Experience: Experience in clinical research and grant writing is desirable.
