Nurse Manager

The Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in the smooth functioning of The Health Center's daily operations, overseeing administrative and clinical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides nursing care in accordance with BMS guidelines.
- Supervises Patient Care Associate, Health Coach, and Licensed Practical Nurse, collaborating with the Site Coordinator/Practice Manager to oversee Patient Service Representatives.
- Monitors and adjusts staffing assignments to meet patients' needs effectively.
- Ensures staff attendance, punctuality, performance, and training needs are met, assisting in setting goals and identifying training for improvement.
- Develops protocols in collaboration with the Lead Clinician.
- Oversees inventory control, maintaining adequate supplies, equipment, and instruments in patient care areas.
- Assists with productivity reports and provides monthly procedure reports.
- Provides lunch coverage for LPN and manages patient flow to maintain high patient satisfaction.
- Participates in huddles, unit meetings, and represents the health center at other meetings as needed.
- Regularly consults with Lead Clinicians and other Program Managers regarding clinical staff performance.
- Registered Nurse associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing School.
- New York State Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory/management position.
- Demonstrates satisfactory interpersonal relationships and good professional conduct.
- BCLS certification required.
- Infection Control certificate required.
- Child Abuse certificate required.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, and supporting patients.
- Exposure to virus, disease, and infection from patients and specimens in the working environment.
- May be required to cover at any facility and be responsible for own transportation.
- May experience traumatic situations including psychiatric, dismembered, and deceased patients.
