As a key member of our grocery store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and well-stocked service counter, and ensuring the highest quality of meat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide superior customer service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service counter, including the preparation area, storage vaults, supply area, and wrapping equipment.
  • Engage with guests, suggesting products and promoting sales techniques to drive revenue growth.
  • Order and receive products, ensuring adequate supply and maintaining product quality, freshness, and variety.
  • Perform receiving duties, including breaking down loads, cutting cases, stacking, pricing, and marking merchandise.
  • Verify orders against invoices, audit product cases, and complete necessary forms and reports accurately.
  • Stock, rotate, and face product, preventing shrink and product damage, and following code dating procedures.
  • Open and set up butcher block cases, and close and pull down cases according to company procedures.
  • Follow daily work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines as assigned by management.
  • Assist with training new associates and perform other duties as assigned or requested by management.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing, bending, lifting, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, and walking.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 100 lbs. and push and pull fully loaded hand trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are necessary.
  • Ability to operate related equipment, including scales, knives, band saws, meat tenderizers, meat slicers, and grinders.
  • Ability to work in controlled temperatures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
