Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for patients from infancy to adolescence, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote healthy coping and development.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with medical, nursing, and communications staff to advocate for patient and family needs, ensuring seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain clinical knowledge, skills, and certifications, staying up-to-date on best practices in child life and pediatric care.
  • Family-Centered Care: Promote family-centered care initiatives, fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes patient and family needs, preferences, and values.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in responding to the unique needs of patients and families, including those with diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child and Family Studies, Child Development, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in child life, child and family studies, child development, or related field.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
