Psychological Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Psihological Assistant to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and child members.
Key Responsibilities- Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or board-certified psychiatrist, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, and instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens.
- Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications, and utilize resources of public and private agencies and community organizations to meet the needs of members' treatment.
- Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, and report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies.
- Completion of a psychology doctoral internship - minimum of 1 year (1500 hours).
- PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical, Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Current valid registration as a Psychological Assistant with the Board of Psychology of the State of California.
