KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the co-sourcing process for sales and use tax filings, including liquor and food and beverage tax returns.
  • Review and supply precise general ledger information to the co-sourcing firm.
  • Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation for all business units and jurisdictions.
  • Support audit processes and ensure timely filing incentives are obtained.
  • Evaluate and modify accounting procedures for various tax types.
  • Conduct monthly tax reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
  • Effectively utilize tax support systems.
  • Enhance processes through technological advancements.
  • Register new legal entities with relevant tax authorities.
  • Report exempt sales and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.
  • Notify management of potential issues and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Assist with brand integration as required.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Management, or Finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and use tax.
  • Preferred experience of 5 to 7 years.
