Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our team at Insight Imaging (NC). As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating PET/CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications
    • Explain and prepare patients for PET/CT imaging procedures
    • Perform routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Maintain equipment in good working order
    • Clean and disinfect equipment after each use
  • Quality Control
    • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality control procedures on PET/CT equipment
  • Department Support
    • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
    • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary
Requirements
  • NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform PET/CT procedures independently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual
  • ARRT certification in CT
  • NMTCB PET Specialty certification
