Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roadway Design Engineer to support our transportation improvement projects. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and detailing local, county, and state roadway and highway projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
  • Support the design team in developing design documentation, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
  • Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
  • Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in Microstation, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid job that operates between an office environment and a field environment. You will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. Occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water may be required, depending on project requirements.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. You may occasionally be required to operate a company vehicle and lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.
