We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at MultiCare Health System in Cheney, Washington.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that includes a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible Registered Nurses. As a Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and promoting a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate, and delegate nursing functions across the lifespan.
- Collaborate with patients, patient families/significant others, physicians/advanced practice providers (APPs), patient care staff, leadership, and community partners.
- Utilize the nursing process as a systematic problem-solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for the patient.
- Independently triage patients in person, via telephone, and secure messages, utilizing protocols, guidelines, and standards.
- Use critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data.
- Use assessment and analysis skills in delivering medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs.
- Delegate selected patient care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Collaborate with the clinic team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and stewardship.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team.
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire.
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred.
- Advanced Life Support certification may be required after hire, depending on assigned clinic site.
- Two years of experience as a RN - in a clinic setting preferred.
