About the Role:
A highly experienced SAP Functional Consultant is required to lead the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the PowerPlan system for a leading electric utility company. This role will play a crucial part in driving business success by providing expert functional analysis and support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define standard processes in PowerPlan and drive adaptation in Finance and Tax areas
- Analyze end-to-end complex business processes across all PowerPlan modules
- Understand and anticipate business needs, leveraging PowerPlan capabilities
- Identify and propose IT solutions to complex cross-organizational business problems
- Evaluate current customizations and advocate for standard functionalities
- Automate/optimize the PowerPlan system

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology
- 8+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst in the PowerPlan system
- Familiarity with CR, PM, Asset/ARO, Depr modules, and their data flow
- Project creation, estimating, and approval
- Collecting and classifying charges (derivations and true-up)
- In-service and completion of work orders
- PowerTax and Tax Repairs
- Creating checks and balances to prevent data issues in automated processes
- Lease Accounting Module
- Month-End Close Processes
- PowerPlan Integration Tools
- SDLC and Integration Best Practices/ETL processes
- SAP experience (tables, structure, GUI, Hana, settlement process, integration impacts)
- S4HANA ERP Implementation and Upgrades
- Accounting Concepts in Asset Management/Depreciation
- Mass property accounting
- Group depreciation
- Various asset retirement methods
- ARO accounting
- GAAP vs. FERC Accounting Concepts
- Interacting with both technical and non-technical team members
- Communicating success/failure stories to management teams

Estimated Salary Range: $132 - $226k/year
