Project Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Development Engineer to join our team at England Thims and Miller. As a key member of our land development team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and engineering land development projects, including grading, water distribution, roadways, storm water calculations, and utilities for residential, commercial, retail, institutional, and recreational facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing multi-acre retail, commercial, and residential developments, including due diligence, permitting, and limited contract administration.
  • Analyzing survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
  • Estimating project costs, including materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Communicating tasks and schedules and coordinating project assignments with project teams.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or completion of degree within six months.
  • Experience with land development projects.
  • Experience with design software (AutoCAD and Hydrologic/Hydraulic design software).
  • Demonstrated background in plan production and project execution.
  • Able to work and interact with local review agencies.
  • Able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Able to understand the relationship between project details and project goals.
