Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Neuroscience Group. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain high-quality images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties and providing explanations of procedures.
  • Ensure patient screening forms contain all pertinent clinical history.
  • Ensure patients have removed all ferromagnetic objects.
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating MRI equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement.
  • Prepare, position, and attend to patients during imaging procedures.
  • Perform all MR exams and adjust scanning parameters as needed to enhance image quality.
  • Administer contrast media to patients by intravenous methods.
  • Maintain accurate records as directed.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MR exams and equipment.
  • Knowledge of MRI equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
  • Understand the principles of MRI physics and maintain both patient and operator safety.
  • Maintain rooms and stock medical supplies as necessary.
  • Work as a team member within the imaging department and all other departments.
  • Attend seminars/meetings and incorporate new procedures and/or revise protocols to improve patient diagnostics.
  • Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Radiology program required with current registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and MRI.
  • MRI Experience.
  • Epic & PACS knowledge helpful.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Ability to prioritize and has excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to act calmly and communicate effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
