Job Summary

Kavaliro's client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Systems Engineer/Architect to join their team in a dynamic and challenging role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment and configuration scripts using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and DevOps.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in IT and/or software development, with a focus on cloud computing and DevOps.
  • 3+ years of experience working in production AWS environments.
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Level III preferred).
  • Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, and TeamCity.
  • Knowledge of virtualized environments, virtual networking appliances, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Git-centric workflows and release management.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in multiple public cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with platform as a service (PaaS) products such as Cloud Foundry, Heroku, and Elastic Beanstalk.
  • Strong understanding of systems monitoring, alerting, and analytics, especially at the container level.
  • Experience with Windows automation using PowerShell.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Discourse.
