Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Breakfast Attendant to join our team at Olshan Properties. As a Breakfast Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our breakfast buffet, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up breakfast foods, conduct regular inventories of food and paper goods, and maintain stock of breakfast foods during breakfast hours.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the breakfast area, including mopping, wiping down countertops, and adhering to company standards and health department codes.
  • Assist in the setup of meeting rooms and special functions, and maintain the cleanliness of the meeting room during and after the meeting.
  • Inventory the market and stock it on a daily basis, monitor market consumption, and alert the supervisor of any unusual activity.
  • Clean the hearth room, gatehouse, and other public areas thoroughly each day, according to systems standards.
  • Accommodate guest requests, answer guest questions, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Good working knowledge of the fundamentals of cooking.
  • Certified in sanitation in accordance with all Health Department codes and regulations.
  • Ability to operate all kitchen equipment, including convection ovens, steam tables, food warmers, and dishwashers.
  • Ability to read and write English to complete requisitions, read recipes, and communicate with other team members.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity of the hand to use all kitchen utensils.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and work continuously in one area for extended periods of time.
Qualification Standards
  • Education: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience: No prior experience required, but prior short-order cooking experience is preferred.
  • Licenses or Certificates: No special licenses required, but certification in sanitation is preferred.
