Job Overview

Position Summary
The role involves managing outgoing shipments of gaskets and bolts, which includes the responsibilities of order pulling and packing. The position requires the operation of various equipment such as forklifts, saws, and gasket manufacturing tools. Additionally, it entails receiving incoming stock and organizing it in designated areas while maintaining a clean workspace. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispatch gaskets as per customer requests.
  • Efficiently pull and pack orders for shipment.
  • Handle inbound transfers and manage freight deliveries.
  • Organize stock in designated shelving and maintain daily inventory records.
  • Execute daily tasks related to gaskets and stud bolts as required by clients.
  • Assemble shipping boxes and monitor staged shipments.
  • Load outgoing freight onto trucks.
  • Keep the Will Call area organized and up-to-date.
  • Participate in cross-training for all warehouse operations.
  • Monitor propane tank levels and coordinate refills with the supervisor.
  • Verify order specifications before packaging.
  • Palletize larger orders efficiently.
  • Communicate any shortages of online items to sales.
  • Ensure accurate labeling of line items with corresponding box numbers.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment by managing packing materials.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.

Qualifications
Skills

  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in warehouse and shipping operations preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, and push/pull.
  • Continuous standing and/or walking.
  • Regularly handle weights between 10 – 50 lbs., with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
  • Adaptability to various work environments, including cold, hot, dusty, and noisy conditions.
