Caregiver Music Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team at VITAS Healthcare. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing end-of-life care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Treatment Plans: Create personalized treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and goals.
- Provide Music Therapy Sessions: Lead music therapy sessions for patients, either individually or in groups, using a variety of techniques such as guided imagery and progressive relaxation.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Continuously assess and analyze patients' reactions to music therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Document Visits: Accurately document all visits and activities on VITAS documentation.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, with hospice experience preferred.
- Certification: Board certification in music therapy (MT-BC) from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in music therapy from an accredited institution approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
