Job Title: Shredding Specialist Lead

Job Summary:

The Shredding Specialist Lead is a key member of our operations team responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe shredding of paper and other materials. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload shredded paper, media, and product from Shred-it's trucks at the assigned branch nightly
  • Reload trucks with specific equipment needed for the next day's assignment
  • Operate and maintain all machinery at the branch
  • Ensure all paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment as required
  • Perform shredding operations in support of Shred-it's off-site shredding program
  • Safeguard plant hardware and equipment by locking and activating security systems
  • Operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area according to Shred-It and NAID standards
  • Ensure that all truck compartments and cabs are cleaned nightly in accordance with company guidelines
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Maintain supplies for plant operations
  • Maintain a responsible approach to all security and safety matters related to Shred-it operations, following the company's policies and procedures at all times and bringing the manager's attention to any areas of concern

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • 6+ months experience as a certified forklift driver and basic maintenance is preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required and a history of good driving records
  • Forklift Certification is preferred
