Overview & Responsibilities

General Summary:

Accountable for assisting residents with their daily living activities. Responsibilities are carried out under the indirect supervision of nursing staff or supervisors, following established protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the essential daily living tasks that ensure residents remain clean and comfortable, including but not limited to: transferring, mobility assistance, bathing, changing briefs, personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and changing bed linens.

Physically assist residents in attending appointments, activities, and meals, which may involve pushing wheelchairs, supporting those using walkers, and managing schedules effectively. Document communications for colleagues, including shift summaries and care notes.

Qualifications

Physical Demands:

Ability to regularly walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop, or sit for extended periods.

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects or individuals weighing over 50 lbs.

Work for sustained periods while maintaining focused attention to safety, detail, and accuracy.

Requirements:

Must receive the annual flu vaccination, with exceptions for religious or medical reasons.

Specific Skills:

Dependable with attendance and punctuality.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to make independent decisions without supervision.

Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, team members, and the public.

Ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of the team.

Exhibit good character and a high degree of personal integrity. Show sincere compassion towards cognitively impaired older adults.

Demonstrate genuine concern for the physical and emotional needs of seniors and their families.

Compensation:

USD $19.30/Hr.
