Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team as a Backend Engineer. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend microservices, APIs, and frontend components to create end-to-end solutions that support our mission of providing exceptional protection and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Backend Development: Design and develop scalable, high-impact backend microservices and APIs to power our business and shape the future of jewelry insurance.
  • Frontend Development: Contribute to the development of user-friendly frontend components that enhance overall system performance and user engagement.
  • Coding Standards: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; contribute to code reviews and uphold high coding standards across both backend and frontend.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver cohesive solutions that support the growth and modernization of Jewelers Mutual's offerings.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: 2-4 years of software engineering experience, with a demonstrated ability to work on both backend and frontend development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in microservices, API-first architectures, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Versatility: Ability to contribute to both robust backend services and user-friendly frontend components.
  • Security and Data Protection: Understanding of secure coding practices, data protection, and access control.
