About the Job:

The selected candidate will work closely with System Engineers and Software Developers to design and develop viable software solutions that meet the project's requirements. Your role will involve coordinating status across various data sources and creating alerts based on events, metrics, and reports.

You will also be responsible for developing a lightweight version of the application that can be deployed to remote systems with limited resources. Additionally, you will provide an interface and RESTful API for the remote system to send data back to the base system.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement feature updates for a metrics and monitoring system
  • Collaborate with System Engineers and Software Developers to design and develop software solutions
  • Develop a lightweight version of the application for deployment in remote systems
  • Provide an interface and RESTful API for data exchange between remote and base systems
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the application

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in software engineering and experience working on projects similar in scope and complexity. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Here are some of the specific skills and qualifications we are looking for:

  • Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Proficiency with Java full stack development
  • Experience with ElasticStack: ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana
  • Familiarity with GIT
  • Ability to analyze user requirements and derive software design and performance requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with REST architectures
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of software development and management products (Confluence and Jira)

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.

Clearance: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens possessing an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Polygraph.
