Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and assess incoming blowers, compressors, and other Aerzen products, diagnose issues, recommend solutions, execute repairs, and document actions as necessary.
- Conduct all tasks in compliance with quality standards and safety protocols while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely; demonstrate strong mechanical skills and a thorough understanding of rotating machinery.
- Evaluate and diagnose failures in Positive Displacement blowers, High Vacuum blowers, Delta Hybrid Blowers, and Compressors.
- Provide insights on necessary actions and parts for machine reassembly.
- Interpret and utilize equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other documentation for the disassembly and assembly of 3 lobe PD blowers and vacuum blowers.
- Compile written repair reports detailing the cause of failure, work performed, materials used, and the condition of equipment upon receipt and return.
- Identify problems with Aerzen machines through material condition evaluation and customer inquiries; demonstrate the ability to provide machine-based recommendations and identify root causes of failures.
- As needed, perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on customer equipment at their location; represent Aerzen professionally and courteously while adhering to all safety requirements.
- Engage in departmental initiatives such as inventory management, shop organization, and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma (or GED) is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical repair, particularly with rotating equipment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office is required; familiarity with Business Center/Navision management software is preferred.
Functional Skills:
- Ability to regularly operate forklifts, ladders, hand/power tools, digital equipment, welding tools, hydraulic equipment, refurbishing tools, calibrating equipment, measuring instruments, and pallet jacks.
- Capability to diagnose issues with Aerzen machines through material evaluation and customer communication; demonstrate the ability to provide machine-based recommendations and identify root causes of failures.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and utilizing equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other documentation for the disassembly and assembly of 3 lobe PD blowers and vacuum blowers.
- Welding experience is preferred, with completion of a welding certificate (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma).
