About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Clinical Trial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Data Science organization, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver business value from clinical trials data. Your expertise in clinical trial operations and data management will enable you to make a significant impact on our success.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Align DSS study teams with program- and study-level strategies to ensure successful delivery against assigned accountabilities.
  • Serve as single point of contact and accountable operational lead from DSS, coordinating associated DSS study teams to meet operational objectives.
  • Develop and implement operational analytics and project management tools to optimize execution of programs and studies, manage internal and external resources, track study progress, and prepare study status reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to federal regulations and applicable local regulations, Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), ICH Guidelines, AbbVie Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and functional quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management information systems, computer science, life sciences or equivalent; Master's preferred.
  • 8+ years of pharma / clinical research / data management / health care experience or 10+ years of project management experience.
  • In-depth understanding of clinical trial processes and involved functional stakeholders, and clinical technology.
  • Management of a clinical trial from initiation through to completion in a lead role required.
  • Demonstrated performance as a cross-functional leader, ability to influence others without direct authority, and effective communication skills.
