Job Summary

CareerStaff Unlimited is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with students in a school-based setting, providing individualized therapy sessions to help them develop the skills they need to succeed.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with a guaranteed 35 hours per week. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of recent pediatric/school-based experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct assessments to evaluate students' sensory, motor, cognitive, and psychosocial development
  2. Collaborate with other educational professionals to gather information on students' academic performance and participation
  3. Set specific and measurable occupational therapy goals to address students' unique challenges
  4. Provide interventions to enhance fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living
  5. Collaborate with teachers to integrate therapeutic activities into the classroom environment

Requirements

  1. Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  2. Successful completion of the National Certification Examination
  3. 1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years
  4. Valid OT license in Florida
