Job Title: Data Analyst Intern

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our team at the Oregon Department of Transportation. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including data analysis, reporting, and communication. You will be responsible for updating existing training completion reporting, creating new reporting tools, and working with the maintenance training program to determine training needs and trends.

Responsibilities:

* Update existing training completion reporting
* Create new reporting tools to optimize scheduling or maintenance training for highway maintenance staff
* Work with the maintenance training program, region compliance trainers, and region safety managers to determine training needs and trends
* Review winter maintenance data to establish performance measures and assess measures during the winter season
* Create Power BI reporting dashboards to improve communication of existing data for tort and claim databases and for the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) inspection data
* Work with data users to ensure reporting meets current and future needs

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
* Experience with data analysis and reporting
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
