Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical support in the development of Skyworks' acoustic SAW/BAW technologies. Your primary function will be to advance the characterization and analysis of RF MEMS devices, including S-parameters, hot S-parameters, load-pull, IMD & harmonics generation, noise emissions, and thermal measurement.

Responsibilities
  • Support characterization and analysis on existing advanced metrology systems, including acoustic vibrometers and thermal imagers.
  • Develop new test solutions required to understand the capabilities and limits of state-of-the-art MEMS devices.
  • Partner with suppliers and industry experts to evaluate superior RF test solutions.
  • Determine component specifications required to enable advanced measurement systems.
  • Create dedicated test and analysis scripts on Python/Matlab to enable automation in on-wafer and PCB testing.
Requirements

You will need a master's degree in engineering and a minimum of 8 years of direct relevant experience. Your skills should include:

  • Advanced RF characterization -- S-parameters, hot S-parameters, load pull, IMD & harmonics generation, noise emissions, and thermal measurement.
  • Scripting expertise, especially with Python and/or Matlab, as well as ADS.
  • Understanding of electromagnetic theory and circuit design.
  • Knowledge in either semiconductors and/or acoustic devices.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $112,500 - $215,900 per year, depending on relevant experience and skills.
