FlexNet Production: This position involves planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources required for the safe manufacturing and storage of FlexNet (collapsible pipe) products, adhering to specifications related to cost, quality, and quantity. This includes managing one connector weld line and one pipe fabric weld line.

Material Logistics: The role encompasses the management of extrusion and storage of FlexNet raw materials, ensuring compliance with cost, quality, and quantity standards. Responsibilities include receiving and issuing materials while effectively managing inventory. Additionally, the manager oversees the internal recycling process, which involves a washing line and two pelletizers to convert internal scrap into usable pallets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for all KPIs within the FlexNet and Material Logistics department.
  • Supervise the handling of all incoming raw materials utilized in the production processes for FlexNet and extrusion, including external and internal resin, drippers, and packaging.
  • Oversee physical inventory management of raw materials, addressing any discrepancies through Lean methodologies.
  • Lead shift teams by setting objectives, collaborating with supervisors to streamline work processes, recruiting department personnel, and mentoring team members.
  • Ensure the continuous operation of the Material Logistics and FlexNet departments, providing technical support for equipment such as pelletizers and wash lines.
  • Analyze performance metrics and advocate for continuous improvements aligned with departmental goals, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Actively participate in departmental engineering projects, implementing process enhancements and upgrades.
  • Manage internal and external departmental interfaces, including planning, engineering, and product management teams.
  • Champion LEAN initiatives within the assigned departments.
  • Ensure achievement of business objectives and production schedules while maintaining product standards that exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to align with Netafim's strategic goals.
  • Establish accountability within departments for problem-solving and cost reduction, addressing needs on both a permanent and ad-hoc basis.
  • Encourage the adoption of innovative techniques and emphasize fact-based problem-solving.
  • Prepare the annual budget, manage expenditures against the budget, and control spending in relation to production volume fluctuations.
  • Foster management practices that promote positive employee involvement and constructive feedback.
  • Continuously enhance safety records by addressing physical safety concerns and promoting safe employee behaviors, while maintaining cleanliness in all areas.
  • Commit to personal skill development by staying informed about the latest production and management concepts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field.
  • Over six years of management experience in a progressive production environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, independent thinking, exceptional organizational and planning skills, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding managerial and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and hands-on individual with the capacity to envision the broader picture and cultivate a dynamic team.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervision of Material Logistics Supervisor, Shift Leads, and Inventory Control Specialist.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

SKILLS:

Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email is required.

Negotiation and procurement skills are preferred.

Familiarity with the SAP platform is advantageous.

Experience with quality management systems is desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods within the production facility.

Capacity for prolonged periods of sedentary computer data analysis.

Willingness to provide support outside of regular business hours within a 24/7 production environment.
