Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Texas Children's Hospital West Campus. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans for pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct routine health screenings, perform diagnostic procedures, and interpret laboratory results to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop and implement education programs for patients, families, and healthcare staff to promote health literacy and improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Stay current with the latest research, technologies, and best practices in pediatric nursing to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nursing with a focus on pediatric nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas or eligibility for licensure.
  • Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP), or another relevant specialty.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
