Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineering Intern to join our Wagman Heavy Civil team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in the field of geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing work plans and tracking field production quantities
  • Coordinate subcontractor work and procure materials and equipment for upcoming projects
  • Perform schedule updates and document control tracking and processing
  • Assist in gathering pricing for bids and help prepare design submittals
  • Perform field QC testing, including load tests, and reporting
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a B.S. in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Previous construction or internship experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and take instructions
  • Must be willing to travel to various project sites throughout the summer
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds from ground level to waist level
  • Frequent standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift
  • Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel occasionally throughout a scheduled work shift
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands
  • Acceptable corrected vision in both eyes and acceptable corrected hearing required
