We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a Per Diem capacity.
Salary Information: The general salary range for this position is $74.48. The actual hiring rate will be influenced by various factors such as job responsibilities, location, and individual qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
- Document patient care in accordance with established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to team members based on their qualifications and competencies.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of hospital policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: A degree from an accredited School of Nursing is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience: Candidates should have experience in adult critical care or equivalent ICU exposure as a nursing student within the last year, or successful completion of the PeaceHealth ICU training program.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current State of Oregon nursing license is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- PALS certification is required within six months of hire/transfer.
- NIHSS and TNCC certifications are required within twelve months of hire/transfer.
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development to meet patient needs. Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive work environment and support patient and family-centered care.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle patient lifting of no more than 35 lbs without assistive devices. Frequent physical activity including bending, stooping, and reaching is required.
Environmental Considerations:
Exposure to biohazards and the need to perform tasks in a noisy environment are part of the role.
