As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment, producing high-quality images, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Set controls of CT equipment, monitor patient and equipment, and make adjustments as needed
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, start IVs, and inject contrast media if necessary
  • Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
  • Assist radiologists with interventional CT procedures
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and label them appropriately
  • Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions
  • Charge procedures and supplies used to patient records
  • Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration
  • Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
  • Work effectively to maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives
