Pacific Fusion: Unlocking the Power of Fusion Energy

We are seeking a highly skilled Experimental Physicist to join our team and contribute to the development of commercial fusion energy. As a key member of our research team, you will collaborate with engineers and scientists to design, execute, and analyze experiments that push the boundaries of fusion research.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute focused physics and integrated tests of our fusion target concepts on internal and external facilities.
  • Develop and implement innovative experimental methods and diagnostic techniques to advance our understanding of fusion phenomena.
  • Analyze and interpret data from experiments to inform the development of new fusion concepts and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize research objectives and develop strategies for achieving them.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as physics, engineering, or materials science.
  • Experience conducting fusion or high-energy density experiments, particularly on pulsed-power or laser-driven inertial fusion facilities.
  • Strong background in experimental methods, data analysis, and physical interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
