Position Overview:

The Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for conducting assessments of patient capabilities, including strength, mobility, and daily living activities. This role involves delivering therapeutic services and formulating care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree or Doctorate in a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Certification verification from the NBCOT.
  • Current state licensure in New Jersey.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Flexible scheduling options available.
  • Availability for weekend, holiday, and per diem coverage as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with billing regulations for inpatient services.
  • Provide treatment to inpatients in accordance with established care standards.
  • Effectively communicate care plans and objectives to patients and their families.
  • Offer education and guidance on treatment recommendations and discharge planning.
  • Make referrals for additional services as necessary.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary teaching and collaboration.
  • Coordinate patient caseload scheduling with supervisory staff.
  • Identify and address the cultural and educational needs of patients.
  • Maintain accurate billing and documentation in line with regulatory standards.
  • Supervise staff as required.

Compensation:

$45.54 minimum to $54.35 maximum Hourly Rate
