Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

As a Maintenance Supervisor at Kohler, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled trades associates in the Central Maintenance group. Your primary objective will be to provide maintenance services in a safe, professional, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign and direct the daily activities of the skilled trades associates in maintenance to complete a weekly schedule and daily reactive work.
  • Maintain on-time and on-cost delivery through prioritization of reactive work, utilization of available resources, and use of partner contractors.
  • Follow Kohler's provided work management system for work orders to maintain an organized SAP backlog.
  • Audit completed work orders for accuracy to support data analysis.
  • Be the talent champion for associates in maintenance by growing strengths, identifying weaknesses, and facilitating training to close gaps.
  • Recognize associates for accomplishments and cultivate a positive environment that facilitates the advancement and engagement of the maintenance team.
  • Implement necessary disciplinary action to correct inappropriate behavior.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using problem-solving methodologies.
  • Analyze critical and reoccurring failures to find the root cause and initiate required action.
  • Provide frequent follow-up and timely communication regarding equipment status to process owners.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations.
  • Drive newer and better maintenance technologies that align with Kohler's core beliefs.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Electro-mechanical or Supervisory Management preferred or willingness to pursue further education.
  • Prior supervisory experience in maintenance or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance or technical experience preferred.
  • Strategic business acumen and deployment; taking creative action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a strategic systematic approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and establish credibility.
  • Experience with a CMMS system and Microsoft Office Suite.
