Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Safety Officer to join our team at Curry College. As a key member of our Department of Public Safety, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our students, employees, and guests, as well as protecting our college property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security services, including safety escort services, perimeter deployment, and patrol of the campus.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including health and safety incidents, and implement appropriate protocols.
  • Enforce parking rules and regulations, and maintain the alarm system in all buildings.
  • Provide dispatch services, including voice, visual, and text management, and synchronization of video surveillance and audio messaging.
  • Monitor incoming vehicles and ensure that only properly identified individuals are allowed access to campus.
Requirements
  • An Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • At least one year of security or public safety experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work additional evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Baccalaureate degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related discipline.
  • Intimate knowledge of Curry College campus and Public Safety procedures.
