Dermatology Technician

Job OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Certified Dermatology Technician/Surgery Assistant to join our team at Albuquerque Dermatology Associates. As a key member of our healthcare practice, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff.Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter accurate and timely visit information into our electronic medical record system.

• Maintain patient medical histories, including medications and allergies.

• Prepare and clean surgery/exam rooms for patient appointments.

• Assist with patient scheduling and coordination of surgical procedures.

• Support our physicians with skin biopsies and surgical procedures, including Mohs Micrographic Surgery.

• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique and operate an autoclave for instrument sterilization.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in dermatology.

• High level of professionalism and excellent communication skills.

• Proficiency in electronic medical record entry and medical tools/equipment.

• Ability to build rapport with patients and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to take direction.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
