Radiologic Technologist II

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist II is a key member of our diagnostic imaging team at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for operating advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for use in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist radiologists in special procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

• Prepare patients for examinations, explaining the radiology process and obtaining consent when necessary.

• Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, maintaining optimal patient safety and image quality.

• Select and operate imaging equipment, including ultrasound and CT scanners, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

• Identify and report any issues with equipment to the Director, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to patient care.

Requirements:

• Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA-approved school.

• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and completion of training courses in Ultrasound Technology, Nuclear Medicine, and CT scan where available.

• Maintenance of state licenses as required.
