Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of cyber security and privacy governance experts to establish standards and processes aimed at reducing information and technology risks.
  • Develop and maintain a governance framework that addresses regulatory, industry, and contractual obligations across all Sentara Healthcare businesses.
  • Set primary oversight objectives for information and technology governance, focusing on strategic alignment, performance management, and risk management capabilities.
  • Formulate standard processes for assessing business and consumer risks that support the Cyber Security Management System.
  • Collaborate with industry peers to conduct benchmarking exercises, enhancing Sentara Healthcare's maturity and implementing best practices.
  • Establish a regulatory monitoring program to assess the impact of regulatory changes on the technology landscape and report progress to business leadership.
  • Evaluate and communicate cyber security and privacy risks and solutions to business leadership.
  • Maintain metrics and reporting to ensure processes are functioning as intended and risks are effectively tracked.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement data protection and governance processes and technologies.
  • Manage the Cyber Security Awareness program, overseeing course content management and ongoing awareness initiatives.

Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and projects. A customer-focused approach is essential, with the ability to evaluate decisions from the customer's perspective. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
