Radiologic Technologist

This Radiologic Technologist position is responsible for performing radiographic procedures and critiquing radiographs to ensure high-quality images. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety principles and be able to facilitate and coordinate imaging support in various settings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographic procedures and critique radiographs to ensure high-quality images
- Apply principles of radiation safety during the process of acquiring radiographic images
- Facilitate and coordinate imaging support in the operating room, patient care units, and clinics
- Assess patient vital signs and conditions when indicated during procedures
- Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and service entities
- May assist in orienting, training, and mentoring new employees or students on department workflow, practices, policies, and procedures
- Prepare, clean, and stock rooms with supplies and linens
- Proficiency in department exam protocols and procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency with all imaging acquisition devices
- Ability to perform all essential functions as listed above
- Demonstrated effective and appropriate communication skills with patients, visitors, staff, and providers
- Ability to select proper radiograph exposure factors and make the appropriate changes when necessary to ensure quality images
- Ability to prioritize patient workload and be flexible to meet the needs of patients
- Demonstrated proficiency in all radiographic positioning and procedures
- Ability to obtain imaging on patients of varying ages and abilities
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system
- Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah
- ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT)
