Job Title: Part-Time Faculty Member

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Faculty Member to join our Anesthesiologist Assistant Program at South University. As a faculty member, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the program's mission to provide high-quality education and training in the field of anesthesiology.

Job Summary:

The Part-Time Faculty Member will be responsible for teaching didactic, laboratory, and simulation courses to students in the Anesthesiologist Assistant Program. This includes designing and delivering course materials, evaluating student performance, and providing academic advice to students. The successful candidate will have a strong background in anesthesiology and experience in teaching and academic administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach didactic, laboratory, and simulation courses to students in the Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
  • Design and deliver course materials, including lectures, lab manuals, and simulation scenarios
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students
  • Provide academic advice to students and facilitate remediation as needed
  • Assist with curriculum development and evaluation, including the design and implementation of new courses and programs
  • Participate in program accreditation activities, including the development of self-study reports and the preparation of evidence for accreditation visits
  • Engage in service, community, and campus relations, and scholarly activities appropriate to the role of a faculty member
Requirements:
  • Terminal degree as an Anesthesiologist Assistant, current NCCAA Certification, and eligibility for state licensure as an AA required
  • Three years of clinical experience preferred
  • Experience in AA/medical classroom teaching preferred
