Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist for a Long-Term Care Facility

About the Job:

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join their team in Stockton, Missouri. This 13-week contract position requires the successful candidate to work 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts on a day schedule.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patients with speech, hearing, and language deficits and developing a plan of care to meet their goals. The successful Speech Language Pathologist will teach patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase their oral or written language skills to communicate effectively. Additionally, they will instruct individuals on strengthening muscles or using compensatory strategies to swallow safely.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited institution in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or actively pursuing licensure
  • Current CPR certification
  • An ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans
  • Experience providing skilled speech therapy services and interventions based on physician orders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An SLP-CCC certification is required

Salary Estimate: Based on the requirements and location of this Speech Language Pathologist role, we estimate an annual salary of approximately $124,000 to $145,000, considering a 13-week contract and 40 hours of work per week.
