As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will be the face of our hotel, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas to meet our established standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, set up cleaning carts with supplies, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
  • Use ladders or stools to clean hard-to-reach areas and maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls, and wipe exposed pipes, mirrors, sinks, and walls.
  • Replace towels, soaps, and room amenities, and restock literature and other guest supplies.
  • Wash hard floor areas by hand and dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings.
  • Strip and remake beds, check bedspreads, blankets, and bed pads for cleanliness, and replace if soiled.
  • Check closets for cleanliness, wipe closet doors, handles, and overhead shelves, and restock guest room supplies.
  • Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs, and lifting/moving heavy furniture.
  • Inspect door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and report any issues to management.
  • Inspect room equipment to ensure proper working order and report any deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies to protect and preserve hotel property.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times and perform other duties as assigned or requested by management.

Requirements:

  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Clean and professional appearance.
  • Must pass a background check.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be able to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs, through hallways and into/out of closets during the workday.
  • Must be able to bend down and get on and off the floor numerous times per day.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in housekeeping or a related field is a plus, but not required.
