We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) PRN to join our team at Houston Methodist West Hospital. As a RN PRN, you will provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care effectively and efficiently, including patients with varied and complex needs.
- Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interprofessional healthcare teams to facilitate, coordinate, and maintain compassionate, efficient, quality care and achievement of desired treatment outcomes.
- Assume leadership roles with progressive responsibility, including participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees, and contributing to service line or hospital-wide initiatives in partnership with management.
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Two years of registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
- Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification in applicable specialty area.
