This position serves as a key engineering role focused on Cloud Infrastructure automation, product delivery, and financial efficiency.

In this capacity, you will research, assess, design, implement, and sustain system and product solutions.


The role demands extensive engineering expertise with Microsoft Azure technologies, particularly in Azure Infrastructure automation; cost management; Azure DevOps Repositories and Pipelines; Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS); and Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), along with associated technologies.

Individuals in this role will be tasked with the design, development, and support of Infrastructure automation deployments of Azure resources utilizing Azure DevOps.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully engineering solutions within complex technical environments.

Responsibilities

- Anticipate and mitigate potential impacts

- Apply engineering principles to the design and enhancement of systems

- Document new system components or modifications to existing components

- Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions

- Manage full life-cycle project execution

- Lead, mentor, and guide junior staff

- Execute engineering tasks in alignment with business requirements

- Conduct research, procurement, deployment, and configuration of systems

- Present organized and concise information to facilitate business decisions

- Provide input and make budgetary recommendations

- Offer technical leadership in architecture and IT solution development

- Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure automation principles and engineering deployments via Azure DevOps, including modules, Pipelines, and Repositories

- Proficient in scripting with Windows PowerShell

- Extensive experience in Azure cost management strategies, including Reservations, right-sizing, auto-shutdowns, cost analysis, tagging, and Azure Advisor recommendations

- Advanced expertise in Azure security frameworks, including Azure Policy and Azure Defender

- In-depth knowledge of Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) components such as Storage Accounts, Azure Recovery Services Vaults, Functions, Logic Apps, Web Apps, Azure SQL, Azure Active Directory, Application Insights, Virtual Networks, Application Gateway, and Load Balancers

- Comprehensive understanding of Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) elements including Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Virtual Machines, and Azure Monitor


- Intermediate experience with Windows Server operating systems and RedHat Linux, focusing on monitoring, build, patch, upgrade, and configuration management

- Familiarity with Azure Automation and its components

- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, TCP/IP, WMI, and SNMP

- Ability to identify and enhance cost optimization opportunities across cloud environments

- Experience in designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting infrastructure and configuration management

- Participation in on-call rotation for emergency technical support and planned maintenance

- Proficient verbal and written communication skills

- Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities

- Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment in decision-making

- Experience guiding and training junior staff

- Knowledge of change control standards and troubleshooting techniques

- Ability to manage complex IT projects or teams, including cost/resource/time estimation

Desired Qualifications

- Intermediate experience with Azure Software as a Service solutions

- Familiarity with Tanzu Application Service (PaaS)
