Job Summary

This role provides exceptional service to guests in a restaurant, dining room, and kitchen environment. Responsibilities include preparing beverages, hosting, setting up dining areas, taking food orders, serving food, and maintaining cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be supportive of the Village's mission, values, and service expectations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Serve guests in bar and dining areas with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
  • Ensure that customers meet the required age for consuming alcohol and monitor their consumption levels.
  • Set up and maintain assigned dining areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and serve food in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform food preparation tasks as needed.
  • May be responsible for cashier duties and adhering to tip reporting policies.
  • Observe guests and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude in the face of challenges.
Essential Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Food Handler Permit required within 15 days of start date.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling and cash register operation.
  • Previous experience as a bartender preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
  • Awareness of cost control responsibilities and ability to work irregular hours.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
