Job Description

GE Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff RCS Engineer to lead the Radar Cross Section (RCS) design and test efforts for a major New Product Initiative. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical leadership and mentoring across the organization in Electromagnetic (EM) / RCS methods and technologies for assigned inlet and/or exhaust systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary focal for RCS design and production on a major New Product Initiative for Edison Works.
  • Lead design meetings, architecting RCS test plans, and provide technical guidance, including test environment guidance, RCS component and system level test planning, and integration support for fielded hardware.
  • Articulate test plans and RCS design requirements to business leadership, program focals, and external customers.
  • Assist organizational discussions regarding the RCS engineering logistics and support vision for the program.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
  • Interface directly with customers and travel onsite, as needed, to ensure program success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited University or College.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working with RCS engineering, design, and test.
  • Must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain and hold a Top Secret Clearance.
Desired
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University or College.
  • Experience with RCS computational electromagnetic (CEM) tools for full wave and asymptotic/ray trace analysis is required.
  • Significant background and experience of RCS scattering phenomenology of engine related component hardware experience associated with the design, analysis, and testing of RCS models and hardware is required.
