Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Bridges & Structures Engineering Discipline as a Structural Engineering Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the field of structural engineering and contribute to the design and development of various infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering analyses and computations, CAD drawings, and technical reports under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with the Bridges team to realize project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Participate in the design of structural projects for other related Infrastructure Division departments, including Rail, Waterway Structures, and Hydro-power.
  • Develop and maintain a basic understanding of AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Interest in structural design and a strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office.
