About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying innovative machine learning models, natural language processing techniques, and graph neural networks to drive strategic decisions for our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop machine learning models using Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other modeling tools.
  • Conduct A/B testing and multivariate experiments to provide actionable recommendations to business partners.
  • Develop clear and concise data visualizations using Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Utilize SQL, Python, Google Cloud, MLOps, Tableau, Power BI, R, or SAS to prepare data for analysis, modeling, deployment, and reporting.
  • Identify business process gaps and devise analytical solutions to address them.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and 3 years' experience in an analytics-related field.
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and 1 year's experience in an analytics-related field.
  • 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data science, machine learning, optimization models, Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics.
  • Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
  • Using open-source frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Torch).

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
